FIAT X1/9 - TRIUMPH TR6 PROJECT

 

The purpose of this project is to practice both model building / rendering and animation. The version below is in progress with updated shading settings and rendering settings. The lighting will be enhanced with a build out of the lamps of both vehicles to add more depth to the render.. The eventual premise to add the animation to an upcoming design project.

Th Fiat X1/9 and elements of the Triumph TR6 were created in Alias Auto studio. The animation including adding the WIP soundtrack were created in Blender.

By building the car in ALIAS from scratch and building a version of the bumpers in data with integrated large round driving lamps in both practice Alias software (and the subsequent rendering in Blender and VRED leading to fabricating a replacement for the car.

Current 1975 Fiat X1/9 with OE impact bumpers. Above it is an intermediate VRED rendering with new bumper corners and integrated 7”round lamps and gold CD30 wheels.

The purpose of this project is to replace the OE “cow catcher” front bumper which was offered on the 1975 model year. The prior year of the X1/9 were fitted with the desired and as intended design of the bumper system. Unfortunately, due to US regulations subsequent model years were not able to take advantage of being able to retrofit the 1974 versions. By building the car in ALIAS from scratch and building a version of the bumpers in data with integrated large round driving lamps I both practice Alias software (and the subsequent test rendering in VRED before practice for a Blender video.

BRONCO SPORT - PRODUCTION - 2021

 

Directed with 2D sketch rendering and 3D digital - clay - glamour model verification support of interior theme direction. Met timing gates on time. Partnered often with market research. Advised Mexico and Germany for manufacturing and engineering. Collaborated with suppliers in executing the rear cargo management system.

Led direction with 2D sketches renderings and 3D digital - clay glamour model of chosen theme direction. Facilitated presentations. Final IP theme chosen for production between 2 final proposals after reaching all design timing gates

Gull wing door concept was based off of the production version. Gullwing doors where proposed to highlight the interior for easy viewing during events.

INTERIOR CONCEPT - 2019 - 20

 

Developed strategy comprising collaboration in both UX focusing on customer experience and UI physical cosmetic integration. Two Smart HUDS with the Driver HUD focused on more relevant information to vehicle interaction while the passenger HUD focuses on entertainment. Prioritized company parts usage catalogue illustrating potential use in diversified programs from China to North America.

Developed strategy comprising collaboration in both UX focusing on customer experience and UI physical cosmetic integration. Connected cross car screens vs separate screens for driver and passenger are explored. Divided into categories: EXPRESSIVE - VERSATILE - PRODUCTIVE - RUGGED. Prioritized company parts usage catalogue illustrating potential use in diversified programs from China to North America.

The theme progressed to the execution of a fully dressed hard model for consideration for production.

Proposed exterior concept: Low slung sports car. 3D model built in Alias rendered with Alias shaders. Placed in photoshop. The design is based off of the proportions of a scanned Porsche 993. The design originated from the hand rendered sketch upper left corner.
